Sinead O’Connor sparked concerns about her emotional state after spilling it all in a Facebook post. It was considered a suicide note; she claimed that she had been submitted to “appalling cruelty” by her husband and children. She claimed she had taken pills and that she was staying at a hotel in Ireland. She did not disclose the name of the hotel or its location.
She wrote, "I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home. I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name."
O’Connor had a hysterectomy in August and since then has been treated horribly by her family, according to her post. This happened this year, when she also cancelled all of her 2015 shows to stay next to her son, who was apparently diagnosed with a “life-threatening illness.”
The 48-year old singer added that she had been "Howling crying for weeks. And been told by them all to go f*** myself. I'm invisible. I don't matter a shred to anyone."
The Gardai Police were alerted and they arrived at the hotel where they found her in her hotel room, safe and sound. The authenticity of the post has not been confirmed yet.
Sinead O’Connor is married and has four children ranging from age 9 to 28. According to Sinead, people have been keeping her from her babies and she can´t take it anymore.
According to reports about O’Connor’s health, she is “safe and well” and currently under medical treatment. Sinead’s representatives have not made any comments about the incident and did not respond to queries from the press.
